Limber Vilorio Villanueva is a multidisciplinary artist (drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, videoart and installation), architect, educator, construction manager, art director for films and cultural manager. CEO Bacano Studio with 20 years of experience.
As an artist he has projection at national and international levels; Construction equipment address high termination; Art Director & Construction Manager for films; project planning and budgeting; application of art to architectural entities such as mural painting and monumental sculpture using mixed media; creation of “props” special complexity and quality for film and theater productions; creating multimedia videos using interactive sensors technology; organization and assembly of cultural events.
He studied in Santo Domingo where he received his degree from Fine Arts at Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (ENBA) in 1993, and Architecture at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) in 2000. He has completed additional programs of study in Japan, India, Sweden, Italy and Spain.
From 2004 he has spent a great deal of time in Madrid where he has continued to develop a fruitful artistic career. He was recognized as a member of the Casa de Velazquez of Madrid as well as an award-winning artist of the Visual Arts Association of Madrid (AVAM) en 2008.
From 1998 to 2008 he worked at National Theatre of Santo Domingo as construction manager for operas such as “Madame Butterfly”, “La Traviatta”, “Carmen”. Also worked at the International Theatre Festival of Santo Domingo among other theatrical productions.
In 2003, Vilorio worked as construction manager and stage designer for the opening and closing ceremony of the Pan-American Games.
In 2017 Vilorio received the recognition of Architecture Department of Universidad National Pedro Henriquez Ureña as “Outstanding Graduate”.
He works and lives in Dominican Republic and Spain.
